Hillcroft Care Home is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care for residents with dementia. Undergoing a turnaround project, we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Manager specialising in dementia care. You will play a pivotal role in restoring the home’s quality of care and overall standards, working closely with an experienced consultant and a dedicated registered individual to drive positive change.
Job Summary
As the Registered Manager, you will lead the turnaround project at Hillcroft Care Home, focusing on elevating care standards, strengthening the care team, and ensuring compliance with CIW and other regulatory bodies. You will bring expertise in dementia care, with the goal of transforming our home into a centre of excellence for dementia care.
Key Responsibilities
- Turnaround Leadership: Develop and execute a robust turnaround strategy to enhance the quality of care and compliance. Address any areas identified as needing improvement.
- Dementia Care Expertise: Apply specialist knowledge in dementia care to tailor individual care plans, ensuring best practices are consistently implemented.
- Team Development and Management: Lead, mentor, and support the care team to improve skill levels, morale, and overall job satisfaction. Foster a compassionate, resident-focused culture.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure full compliance with CIW and other regulatory standards, maintaining high levels of safety, care quality, and documentation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the appointed consultant and registered individual, leveraging their guidance and support for continuous improvement and streamlined project management.
- Resident and Family Engagement: Engage regularly with residents and their families to enhance satisfaction, address concerns, and foster a supportive environment.
- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including staff scheduling, budget management, and resource allocation to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the care home.
Requirements
- Registered Manager Certification: Current CIS registration or eligibility for registration as a Registered Manager.
- Experience: Proven track record in turnaround management within a care home, with specialist expertise in dementia care. NVQ Levels supported.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, including experience building, motivating, and retaining high-performing care teams.
- Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of CIW standards, safeguarding protocols, and regulatory compliance within dementia care settings.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to manage complex challenges and implement sustainable solutions in a care home setting.
